"Careers, Salary and Inspiration" a one-day seminar will be held on Friday, 5/9
Careers, Salary and Inspiration - The Forensics of Bridging the Wage Gap is a free, one-day seminar geared for high school and college-aged women interested in learning about career choices and future earning potential. Men also are welcome to attend. The seminar will take place on Friday, May 9th from 9 am to 3 pm at the Jackson County Central Library in Medford. The event is sponsored by the American Association of University Women and presented by Rogue Community College. One must be registered to attend.

Rogue Valley Mall presents the 3rd Annual Wellspring Children's Festival on Saturday, May 10th from 10 am to 4 pm at the Rogue Valley Mall. Enjoy local non-profit vendors from around the region in crafts, games prize drawings and entertainment.
Letter Carriers help "Stamp Out Hunger"
Letter carriers in Medford, Central Point, White City and Ashland will join with letter carriers across America to collect generous donations of nonperishable food from their postal customers. Citizens can help letter carriers Stamp Out Hunger by filling the specially marked plastic bags with non perishable food such as peanut butter, soups in a can and boxed meals by their mailboxes on the morning of Saturday, May 10. Letter carriers will collect nonperishable food donations left by mailboxes along their routes and take them to their local station. Then, trucks will pick up the food and deliver it to ACCESS Food Share.
A Musical Performance by IVHS Drama students take place May 9th and 10th
A Musical "Kismet" will be performed by Illinois Valley High School's Drama students on Friday, May 9th and Saturday, May 10th at Illinois Valley High School. General Admission is $5 and it's $3 for seniors.

"Beauty and the Beast " runs through Sunday, May 18th
The Disney musical "Beauty and the Beast" will run through Sunday, May 18th. Tickets for all regular performances are $12 general, $10 senior and student and $8 for children under 12. The Wood House 4th Annual Military Vehicle Show will be held Sat-Sun, 5/17-5/18
The Wood House 4th Annual Military Vehicle Show will be held on Saturday, 5/17 from 9 am to 5 pm and Sunday, 5/18 from 9 am to 4 pm. There will be vintage military vehicles and World War II collectibles. Free Admission. Free Tours of the Wood House. Concession Stand. Free wine tasting. The event takes place at 12988 Highway 62, 1.4 miles north of Eagle Point. Donations will be gladly accepted to help preserve the Wood House.

The Salvation Army and Sherm's Thunderbird & Food 4 Less are working together for the next month to feed impoverished families in Jackson County. People will be able to find a Salvation Red Shield for $1 at Sherm's registers. All funds raised will be used to purchase food for the needy in Jackson County. For more information call 541-773-6965.

The Babies in the Library class to be held every Thursday until June 12th
The Babies in The Library class is held every Thursday at 12pm. The class in for pre-walking babies and a caring adult. The City of Medford Railroad Park is open to the public on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month
Railroad Park is open to the public on the second and fourth Sundays of each month, through October from 11 am until 3 pm. The park is operated by volunteers. Admission is free. No tax monies are used in the operation of t his park and therefore donations are greatly appreciated and are used to defray expenses and improve the park. It is located adjacent to Fire Station No. 4 at the intersection of Table Rock Road and Berrydale Avenue, just a few blocks north of the Rogue Valley Mall. For further information, call 541-779-3002.
